More than 30 world class cars will shut down Savile Row in June as tailoring houses in the famous street connect with the automotive community to create the first ever Savile Row Concours.
The street, located in London’s Mayfair, will be shut on June 15th and 16th and entry will be free to visitors with events taking place across the day.
The event will focus on the relationship between craftsmanship and the art of bespoke, which inextricably links the realms of tailoring and automobiles.
It will showcase more than 30 world-class cars displayed along the street, from pre-war thoroughbreds to the latest electric hypercars, including Pininfarina’s Testarossa Spider, renowned Italian industrialist and playboy Gianni Agnelli’s last Ferrari, the Kingsman movie Jaguar E-type and the new Maserati MC20 to name but a few.
Many of the renowned tailors, shoemakers and art galleries will be open late to visitors. The street will feature a central stage, which will host a number of talks with key figures from the worlds of tailoring and automotive design. Additionally, live music will accompany the event throughout the two days.
Partnerships include Dege & Skinner and Morgan Motor Company, J.P. Hackett and Aston Martin, Holland & Sherry and Bizzarrini, and Huntsman and Bentley among others. Each of these partnerships will provide a unique opportunity to dive into the minds of these great brands producing exclusive garments, installations and more.
