An 18th-century rare Chinese vase found in a shoebox in France sold for €16.2m (£14m) at a Sotheby’s sale. The vase, which was auctioned by Sotheby’s Paris on Tuesday (June 12), sold for more than 20 times its guide price—€500,000 to 700,000.
