This year will see several galleries participating in Frieze Seoul for the first time, including Antenna Space (Shanghai); Crèvecœur (Paris); Galerie Peter Kilchmann (Zurich, Paris); Goodman Gallery (Johannesburg, Cape Town, London); Jessica Silverman (San Francisco); Scai The Bathhouse (Tokyo); Station (Sydney, Melbourne); and Galerie Quynh (Ho Chi Minh City).
The full list of main section galleries can be found below.
FRIEZE MASTERS
Following its successful launch in 2022, Frieze Seoul will see the return of a dedicated Frieze Masters section, steered by Nathan Clements-Gillespie (Director, Frieze Masters). This year the section will expand to feature more than 20 galleries showing art from throughout the ages, and will offer a unique contemporary perspective on thousands of years of art history. The section will include works from collectible objects to significant masterpieces from Old Masters to the late 20th century.
FOCUS ASIA
Frieze Seoul 2023 will return with Focus Asia, a dedicated section of the fair showcasing ten solo artist presentations from Asia-based galleries, opened in or after 2011. This year, the section is advised by Hyejung Jang (Chief Curator, DOOSAN Gallery) and Joselina Cruz (Director and Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD), De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Manila).
