London Glassblowing to Showcase ‘VETRO II’

Devereux-Patchen, Quillon

London Glassblowing has announced the follow-up show to the 2014 exhibition ‘VETRO’. Titled ‘VETRO II”, the exhibition, taking place in October 2022, will display and explore the Venetian influence and show homage to the extraordinary history, tradition, skill and invention of the Muranese glassmakers.

The 2014 exhibition was a resounding success so London Glassblowing will now host a follow-up show and has challenged seventeen innovative glassmakers to make new works inspired by this theme. The purpose is not to copy, rather to take inspiration from some aspect of Venetian practice and reinterpret this into a new body of work.

David Patchen

The show will exhibit works from the likes of Balázs Telegdi, Bruce Marks, Cathryn Shilling, and Charlott Rodgers and also exciting collaborations including internationally renowned artists David Patchen and James Devereux.
